Life Sciences Research Partners (LSRP) is a non-profit organization to promote, support and carry out scientific research in general, but with a special focus on biomedical and biotechnological projects. LSRP evolved in 2007 from the D. Collen Research Foundation, which was set up by Désiré Collen in 1988. Due to changes in government legislation, the foundation had to adapt its bylaws and change its name to Life Sciences Research Partners.
Life Sciences Research Partners is acknowledged by the Federal Government as a scientific institution.
Both organizations have been/are financed mainly by the direct and indirect yields of KU Leuven’s t-PA patent.
